Financial Analyst

Overview

Camino Partners Ltd is recruiting a commercially focused Finance & Commercial Analyst for a 6-month fixed term contract. This position is with a leading professional services company known for its high-volume operations and consistent growth. The role involves handling large data sets, enhancing reporting processes, and collaborating with operational teams to provide impactful commercial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead significant aspects of the month-end closing activities, including producing revenue and gross profit reports.
• Gather, reconcile, and scrutinize extensive financial and operational data from various business systems.
• Create comprehensive management reports, KPI dashboards, and commercial analyses to support Finance and Operations departments.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance assessment, and broader business planning processes.
• Oversee the calculation and reporting of consultant commissions and bonuses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct ad hoc commercial analyses to inform strategic business choices.
• Identify and implement solutions to automate reporting, enhance data accuracy, and optimize finance procedures using Excel and other reporting tools.
• Provide support for year-end audits and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the finance function.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in roles such as Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst, FP&A, or Management Accountant with a strong analytical focus.
• Advanced Excel abilities capable of managing and analyzing large datasets effectively.
• Experience in month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial data analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen coupled with excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to communicate financial information confidently to both financial and non-financial colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Part-qualified or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA certifications.
• Background in recruitment, professional services, or similar sectors with high transaction volumes.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, VBA, or other tools for reporting automation.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or comparable ERP platforms.
