Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a reputable medium-sized manufacturing company located in Laverton North, Victoria. This role involves preparing detailed financial statements, managing month-end and year-end accounting processes, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Assist in budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting tasks across various departments.
- Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to provide insightful financial analysis and support decision-making.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial processes, systems, and reporting methodologies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively.
- Provide mentorship and assistance to junior members of the finance team.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified CA/CPA or actively pursuing the qualification.
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or in a related role.
- Experience in the manufacturing, automotive, or FMCG sectors is highly valued.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent systems.
- A proactive approach with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of confidently engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
