This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha by Anantara in Doha, Qatar. The role supports the hotel’s Food & Beverage function by helping deliver excellent guest experiences, strong team performance, and solid business outcomes.

Core purpose of the role

The F&B Captain is expected to contribute to high-quality service delivery, ensure that guests are looked after promptly and courteously, and help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment. The role also focuses on service consistency, product quality, and team coordination in line with brand and Food & Beverage standards.

Key duties

• Support the overall Food & Beverage operation so guest satisfaction and operational results are maximized.
• Help ensure service is delivered quickly, politely, and in line with the hotel’s brand standards.
• Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety.
• Make sure only high-quality products are served to guests.
• Build a positive team atmosphere that encourages cooperation and strong performance.
• Handle day-to-day team member interactions and support healthy working relationships.
• Encourage staff to solve problems independently through proper coaching, training, and empowerment.

Qualifications and personal attributes

Candidates should be able to communicate in English; knowledge of an additional language will be an advantage. A neat appearance and a high level of personal hygiene are required. The ideal person should be enthusiastic, eager to learn, positive, energetic, and pleasant in manner. The role also calls for someone who can work well under pressure, adapt flexibly in a dynamic team setting, and contribute as an excellent team player.
