Overview
The Facilities Director oversees all capital projects, maintenance, and lifecycle management for properties managed by the authority, working closely with the Executive Team and property operators for compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise maintenance and facility operations at the David L Lawrence Convention Center, including the development of long-term capital plans and maintenance software upkeep.
- Ensure timely receipt and approval of all necessary reports related to inspections, maintenance, utilities, and capital operations.
- Manage compliance with lease agreements and structural inspections for professional sports facilities, advising on capital repair and lifecycle planning.
- Oversee daily maintenance and capital planning for North Shore Riverfront Park, coordinating with third parties and stakeholders.
- Administer parking facilities' operations and maintenance, including contract negotiations, inspections, and capital projects.
- Attend authority board meetings, prepare and present agenda documentation.
- Assist in project development, serving also as the ADA and emergency coordinator for the authority.
- Stay informed on legal and industry standards relating to facility management and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor utility billing and resolve discrepancies with local providers.
- Lead regular facility updates with the executive team and manage contracts, purchase orders, and insurance documentation.
- Conduct inventory reviews of SEA office and public art and advise development staff on relevant projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree required (engineering degree preferred).
- Minimum seven years of experience in facility and asset management with project management skills.
- Proficiency in standard software including Microsoft Office and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Extensive knowledge of facilities and project management principles and systems.

- Capable of managing multiple projects and motivating teams with minimal supervision.

Additional Information
- Position requires physical ability to inspect facilities and parks.
- Applicant must be a resident of Allegheny County or willing to relocate.
- The role is onsite with no remote work option.
- Salary range is $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
