Overview
We are seeking a seasoned medical editor to join our well-established editing team in New Zealand. This role involves overseeing diverse medical communications projects, collaborating closely with various teams, and producing precise, high-quality content spanning scientific materials such as slide decks, abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread a broad spectrum of medical communication outputs to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Manage grammar, formatting, references, and EndNote software, including output style creation.
- Coordinate submissions for journals and congresses, taking ownership of the submission process as needed.
- Provide copyright advice to account teams and manage permission procurement processes.
- Serve as lead editor for established accounts, fostering strong internal collaborations and supporting large or complex projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of five years editing experience, preferably within medical communications.
- Degree in English language, linguistics, life sciences, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe suite, and reference management tools such as EndNote.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage expectations, and engage collaboratively across teams.
