Role Overview

As an Expediter, your key purpose will be to facilitate excellent communication and coordination between the kitchen and service staff, ensuring that all food leaving the kitchen meets consistent standards of quality and presentation. This position requires managing outgoing food orders while maintaining smooth service flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming food orders, accounting for approximately 15% of your duties.
• Record ticket times and ensure cooking times align with organizational standards, contributing around 20% to your role.
• Act as a communication liaison between service and kitchen teams (5%).
• Prepare plate presentations according to specific recipes and presentation guidelines, covering 30% of your responsibilities.
• Perform final inspections for food quality including temperature, garnish, presentation, and timeliness (5%).
• Coordinate food delivery logistics with food runners, comprising 20% of your tasks.
• Maintain and organize the expediter station, ensuring cleanliness and stock levels for 5% of the shift.

Physical Demands

The position requires frequent movement throughout the restaurant, including communication with guests, lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds occasionally, bending, stooping, and grasping items weighing up to 5 pounds regularly.
