Job Objective
This role is accountable for overseeing and coordinating visa processes, cancellations, trade license renewals, and all associated government, labor, and immigration matters. The incumbent ensures adherence to regulations along with prompt administrative completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture connections with various government bodies such as Immigration, Ministry of Labor, Municipality, Traffic Department, Department of Economy, Security, Airport Meet & Assist, and NTA.
- Lead manpower planning within the department and provide supervision, motivation, and leadership to the team.
- Guarantee timely issuance of licenses for new store launches.
- Maintain a balanced nationality mix by monitoring and controlling workforce quotas.
- Manage government-related matters, including renewals and non-renewals, across seven affiliated companies: Apparel LLC, Shoe Plaza, Dynamix, Shop Fit, Indus, Apparel FZCO, and European Apparel.
- Audit documentation files submitted for processing.
- Ensure correct organization and archiving of files for future reference.
- Review payment records to confirm proper invoicing or identify fines.
- Assist employees and visitors in handling governmental interactions by providing necessary contacts, forms, and addresses.
- Expand network of contacts within government departments as required.
- Resolve issues arising with government agencies such as Ministries, Police, and Customs.
- Manage all related correspondence and documentation responsibly, respecting urgency and confidentiality.
- Monitor procedural and legal changes, communicating updates to relevant departments or personnel.
- Support company accommodation requirements as needed.
- Oversee and track residence permit and visa application processes.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in government relations, public affairs, or similar domains.
- Competence in policy evaluation, strategic communication, and stakeholder engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
- Strong capabilities in negotiation, advocacy, and forming durable relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of government procedures, regulatory frameworks, and compliance mandates.
