Position Overview
The Executive Director of Operations leads the organization's daily operational functions with the goal of enhancing efficiency, productivity, profitability, and fostering sustained growth. This high-level leadership position is tasked with creating and executing strategies to optimize business processes, guiding cross-departmental teams, and aligning operations with overarching corporate objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct and manage operational activities across all departments and business divisions.
- Develop and roll out comprehensive operational policies, strategies, and procedures aligned with company goals.
- Continuously seek and implement ways to boost operational efficiency, increase productivity, and control costs.
- Track and analyze key operational performance indicators to ensure business targets are met.
- Work closely with executive leadership to formulate and execute strategic initiatives.
- Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and resource distribution to optimize organizational results.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, industry rules, and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks to guarantee business continuity.
- Lead change management and process improvement efforts within the organization.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration for smooth business operation workflows.
- Manage workforce planning, talent development, and performance evaluation within operational segments.
- Evaluate and introduce technology solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency.
- Foster strong partnerships with clients, vendors, stakeholders, and partners.
- Create and deliver operational reports and performance presentations to senior leadership and the board.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or related disciplines; MBA preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations management roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Deep knowledge of business operations, organizational development, and process enhancement.
- Experience handling budget management, financial analysis, and performance metrics.
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Solid analytical capabilities and effective problem-solving skills.
- Adept at managing competing priorities in dynamic environments.
Preferred Expertise
- Background in strategic planning and organizational change.
- Familiarity with operational excellence methods such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile.
- Proficiency in project and change management.
- Experience with enterprise-level systems and automation of business processes.
- Ability to inspire and lead diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
