Role Overview

York Region District School Board is seeking a Grade 8 elementary Long Term Occasional teacher for a 100% assignment in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This role is part of the public education system and focuses on supporting student learning and success in a classroom setting.

Compensation

Pay is tied to the current ETFO Elementary Teacher Collective Agreement and will be adjusted based on full-time equivalency, QECO classification, and years of experience, in line with the applicable collective agreement. The posted salary ranges are:

• A1-A2 (Steps 0-10): $57,269 to $102,938
• A3-A4 (Steps 0-10): $63,855 to $120,384

Compensation is prorated according to the percentage of the assignment.

Additional Information

• Candidates must already be members in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, or be in the process of becoming OCT-qualified before the start date.
• External applicants must provide at least three professional, supervisory teaching references in the screening section of the online application, including each referee’s full name, job title, workplace or organization, and email address.
• For internal YRDSB staff, all previous teaching experience must be included, along with two references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
• All successful candidates must submit a satisfactory police record check.
• Reference examples may include a principal or vice-principal, faculty advisor, practicum advisor, host or mentor teacher, or another professional reference who can speak to teaching practice.
