About the company
MMA Fight Store is a major Australian retailer and supplier of mixed martial arts and boxing training equipment, accessories, and collectibles. The business supports customers through both physical retail and online sales, and processes more than 1,000 Shopify orders each week nationwide.
Role overview
This position manages the full order journey, starting when an order arrives in Shopify and ending when it leaves with the courier. It also involves handling customer follow-up when delivery, return, or stock issues arise. The team values a collaborative attitude and a willingness to contribute, rather than a strict clock-watching mindset.
Core duties
- Process online orders each day by picking, packing, and dispatching them through Shopify and Cin7 Core.
- Manage local pickup orders and help with inter-store fulfilment when the Perth location is out of stock.
- Respond to customer enquiries by email about order progress, returns, exchanges, and delivery problems.
- Liaise with shipping partners such as Shippit, StarTrack, and Australia Post regarding delayed or missing parcels.
- Identify inventory mismatches and recurring operational problems and raise them with the broader team.
Experience and skills
The role calls for at least 2 years of experience in ecommerce order fulfilment. You should be confident using Shopify and an inventory platform; Cin7 Core is preferred, while DEAR, Unleashed, and NetSuite are also acceptable. Strong accuracy is essential, especially when working with SKUs, product sizes, and delivery addresses. The position also requires comfort working in a warehouse environment, being on your feet, and lifting up to 20 kg.
Communication style
You’ll need clear written English and a professional, customer-friendly approach when dealing with order updates and service issues.
Bonus interest
A background in combat sports or a genuine interest in the space is a plus, as you may be asked to help customers with product questions such as glove weights and gi sizing.
