Job Overview
The role involves collaboratively managing and organising daily tasks of the operational staff within the department to maintain a cost-efficient and customer-focused service. Serving as part of a team, the Domestic Supervisor will act as the initial point of contact for Domestic Assistants and, when operating in community settings, also Portering Assistants.
The position requires commitment to delivering high-quality cleaning services within the Health Board's facilities. Additionally, sharing best practices and adapting cleaning protocols over time to meet evolving requirements is essential.
Key responsibilities include supervising, training, and auditing cleaning techniques across areas with varying risk levels, as defined by the National Standards of Cleanliness. The supervisor must ensure adherence to best cleaning practices and uphold these standards personally and among the team.
Support will be provided to the Assistant Hotel Services Manager (Domestic), including assuming responsibility in their absence to aid in managing a cost-effective and customer-responsive service.
Main Duties
- Working on a rotational schedule at Ysbyty Bryn Y Neuadd and Ty Llwelyn for 35 hours per week over 5 days.
- Shift timings are from 08:00 to 18:00.
- Welsh language proficiency is preferred but not mandatory; both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.

Person Specification
- Education: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: Prior cleaning experience within a healthcare environment.
