About Ajagar Social Circle

Ajagar Social Circle is a grassroots NGO founded by eight young professionals dedicated to fostering social and economic change in the northeastern region of India. The organization focuses on enhancing livelihood opportunities for low-income groups, especially in the Assam-Meghalaya belt. Key thematic areas include livelihood promotion, education, skill development, health and nutrition, training and capacity building, WASH, and relief and rehabilitation efforts. Ajagar Social Circle has earned recognition and funding from reputed donors such as NABARD, NEDFi, World Bank, Tata Trust, NRTT, and Ford Foundation, as well as government bodies like Goalpara District Administration, PWD, and PHE. The NGO works primarily in remote and vulnerable regions like Goalpara, Dhubri, and Chirang districts, supporting communities including ST (Rabha), ST (Bodo), and SC (Sutradhar).

Position Overview

Ajagar Social Circle invites applications for the role of Documentation & Fund Raising Manager as part of a foreign-funded Institutional Capacity Building Project in Goalpara district, Assam. This role is a full-time position based in Agia, Goalpara, with a negotiable monthly salary between Rs. 18,000 and Rs. 20,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and maintain templates for capturing various organizational activities.
  • Collect data points, perform analysis, and generate comprehensive project reports.
  • Design community-level surveys and coordinate data collection, compilation, and analysis.
  • Conduct field visits to support the Management Information System (MIS), identify gaps, and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Communicate findings effectively in collaboration with the project team.
  • Manage content collection, collation, and compilation for all periodic publications.
  • Develop content for brochures, flyers, marketing materials, and the organization’s website.
  • Translate and develop content in English and Hindi as needed.
  • Prepare announcements, press releases, presentations, and other technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with different departments to develop project proposals.
  • Handle social media platforms to enhance the organization's outreach.
  • Develop an annual fundraising plan, identify and communicate with potential donors, and build lasting relationships with both potential and existing donors.
  • Prepare and submit funding proposals to secure resources.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Development Communication, Media Studies, or related disciplines.
  • At least two years of professional experience in reporting, documentation, communication, and fundraising.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and modern communication tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising activities.
