Position Overview
The Discovery Paralegal role supports Wilson Elser's wide-ranging litigation portfolio on a national scale. This position primarily involves assisting with investigations, collections, and managing discovery databases. It offers a flexible hybrid or fully remote work option within states where Wilson Elser has offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various investigative and collection duties under attorney supervision to address litigation discovery requirements.
- Obtain and manage client-related documents and electronic data, identifying materials relevant to each case.
- Coordinate communication and collaboration among client staff, attorneys, and external vendors.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders inside and outside the firm.
- Organize and preserve evidentiary and case-related information adhering to best practices in records management, including managing document productions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; specialization or certificate in paralegal studies is preferred.
- At least 1 to 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Strong analytical abilities with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with collaboration and work management software is advantageous.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience working with Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and document management systems, including use of computer-assisted review technology, is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary range from $70,000 to $80,000 annually, with final offers factoring in experience, education, certifications, location, and market considerations.
