Director of Operations

Role Overview

This senior leadership position is focused on establishing and managing preconstruction and construction operations in the local market. The person in this role will set up the division, recruit and develop the team, direct day-to-day execution, and make sure every project is delivered with strong results in safety, timeline, cost control, and quality.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the launch of the market division and take ownership of its growth and structure.
• Recruit, organize, and guide local project teams with a strong emphasis on discipline and accountability.
• Oversee multiple projects across the market area, including budgets, schedules, and workmanship standards.
• Establish and uphold high standards for safety and quality, and ensure teams consistently meet them.
• Develop and sustain productive working relationships with clients, key subcontractors, design partners, and local authorities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience in construction leadership, along with a track record of assembling and managing high-performing teams. A solid grasp of field operations, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, estimating, and preconstruction planning is important. Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and the trade network in this market is also expected. Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal ability are essential, as is a leadership approach grounded in full ownership and accountability.
