Deputy/Assistant Manager, Bus Service Standards

Overview

This role is situated within a team dedicated to formulating and managing frameworks that oversee bus service performance standards. The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting key performance indicators to ensure compliance with service quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure bus operators adhere to established service quality standards by evaluating exception requests and enforcing regulatory guidelines.
• Oversee two major performance frameworks that track bus service reliability.
• Establish assessment criteria for evaluating bus services.
• Review and approve waiver applications from bus operators, incorporating authorized exceptions into the fleet management system.
• Compute year-end incentives and adjustments for operators based on their performance data.
• Maintain the bus management system with current configurations, ensuring data accuracy and reliability of generated reports.
• Innovate and develop frameworks and standards for upcoming bus services, including autonomous bus technologies.
• Produce periodic reports and performance analyses for senior management review.
• Collaborate closely with bus operators to drive continuous improvements in service reliability.
• Address public feedback concerning bus service quality and performance issues.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Candidate Profile

• Educational background in Statistics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, or any field with a strong quantitative or analytical focus.
• Highly self-driven, resourceful, and methodical in approach.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication abilities for effective coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical expertise in handling extensive datasets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python is advantageous.
• Willingness to engage in fieldwork and support operational events as necessary.
