Department Manager

Role overview

As a Department Manager, you will guide and support your team while helping build a workplace where people feel included, collaborate well, and are encouraged to think entrepreneurially. By living the company values, you will contribute to both store performance and overall business success.

What you will do

• Steer your team toward delivering an excellent customer journey by maintaining strong operational and visual presentation standards, while actively driving product sales.
• Own your department and store performance by reviewing sales, spotting business opportunities, setting targets, and building action plans to improve results, profitability, and stock health.
• Oversee workforce planning, scheduling, and smooth opening and closing procedures.
• Hire, onboard, and develop team members while nurturing a supportive and collaborative culture that encourages growth and new ideas.
• Keep up with fashion trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to stay commercially strong.
• Serve as a positive representative of both yourself and the brand in every customer interaction.

Who you will work with

You will be part of the store team, which includes roles such as Sales Advisors, Department Managers, Store Managers, Visual Merchandisers, Assistant Store Managers, Cash Office Responsible, and Delivery Responsible in larger stores. You will also work with the wider area team, sharing insights across stores and contributing to collective success. Together, the team helps customers feel confident and express their individuality through current trends and timeless styles.

Who you are

This role calls for someone with retail leadership experience, strong people management ability, and a practical understanding of sales planning, analysis, and follow-up using customer-focused tools and reporting. You should be a confident, values-led leader who can coach others, work well in fast-moving and collaborative settings, and stay focused on solutions. A strong interest in fashion, commercial performance, and competitor insights is important, along with clear communication, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, and comfort working with figures and statistics.

Additional information

This is a full-time, onsite position based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The role reports to the Store Manager.
