Delivery Expert

About the role

Domino’s is hiring delivery drivers who can help serve customers in the Eastman, GA area. The role suits someone who wants a flexible work schedule, whether for a main income source, a side job, or a position that fits around school or other commitments. As the business continues to grow, there may also be room to move into higher responsibilities over time.

What you’ll do

• Deliver pizzas and related products to customers within the assigned delivery zone.
• Bring orders from the vehicle to the customer’s door and complete deliveries efficiently.
• Handle phone orders and process customer requests by phone and in person.
• Use equipment and tools needed to prepare, package, and deliver products.
• Restock ingredients and supplies from the delivery area to storage, the work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Take inventory and complete the required paperwork.
• Keep equipment and the store environment clean on a regular basis.
• Deliver flyers and door hangers when needed.

Requirements

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards are required.
• You need access to an insured vehicle that can be used for deliveries.
• You should be comfortable using maps or navigation tools to find addresses in the delivery area.
• Ability to handle stairs, uneven terrain, multi-story buildings, and other delivery locations.
• Good verbal, written, and phone communication skills are needed.
• You should be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately, including making correct change.
• Ability to work with computers, keyboards, touch screens, telephones, calculators, and similar tools.
• Must be able to work under varying weather conditions and in different indoor temperature ranges.
• Physical work includes standing for long periods, walking short distances, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, climbing, pushing, and carrying items during deliveries.
• The role may involve exposure to hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving parts, food odors, cornmeal dust, and confined spaces.
• Must be able to work both alone and with others, handle pressure, and follow quality standards.

Training and growth

Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. Domino’s notes that many team members start in delivery roles and later move into management, general manager, franchise ownership, or corporate operations.

Work environment

This is an onsite position with delivery work carried out in the field and store-based tasks completed inside the restaurant. Team members may deal with changing weather, hot and cold work areas, tight spaces, and night driving conditions.

Physical and job conditions

Most duties are completed while standing. Walking is generally short-distance and short-duration, especially between the store, the vehicle, and customer locations. Paperwork is usually completed at a desk or table. Bulk deliveries arrive at least twice a week and may need to be moved with a hand truck. Deliveries can include ingredient and supply cases weighing up to 50 pounds. Some tasks involve lifting items to shelves as high as 72 inches, carrying sauce containers and dough trays, pushing or pulling tray dollies, climbing stairs or ladders, and repeatedly bending, reaching, crouching, or squatting. Driving duties include making several deliveries per shift and navigating as many as five or more flights of stairs during delivery when needed.

Tools and equipment

You may use pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutters, and pizza peels as part of the job.
