Deli Supervisor

Position Overview

As a Deli Supervisor at Centra in Kells, County Meath, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Deli Department, delivering high-quality products and superior customer service at all times.

• Oversee the preparation and attractive presentation of the deli service area.
• Execute planograms accurately to maintain consistent merchandising standards.
• Minimize waste and shrinkage within the deli department through effective management.
• Introduce innovative ideas for fresh food offerings by researching market trends and competitor products.
• Share extensive food knowledge with customers through recipes and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Train and coach all new staff members joining the deli team.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally in line with store policies.
• Adopt new initiatives and adapt to evolving work practices enthusiastically.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a fresh food environment.
• Minimum of 2 years’ overall experience working within fresh food roles.
• Certified training in HACCP and food safety, with practical experience ensuring compliance with these standards.
• Proven skills in ordering stock and managing waste control specifically in deli or fresh food departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong numerical abilities necessary for budgeting and rostering tasks.
• Effective communication capabilities to lead, motivate, and support employees.
• Genuine passion for the food industry, with a creative and innovative approach to fresh food product offerings.
• Customer-focused leadership that fosters loyalty and quality service.

Additional Information

• This is a full-time role based in Kells.
• Working hours involve shifts across 5 to 7 days per week.
• The position is not suitable for students.
