Role Overview
The Data Specialist is a full-time remote position responsible for gathering, organizing, and maintaining critical data sets that support design and business decision-making. Responsibilities include cleansing and validating data, conducting analyses, and generating reports or dashboards that distill intricate data into accessible insights for internal teams and clients. This role works closely with designers, project managers, and executives to secure accurate data for strategic planning and operational performance. Further duties include establishing data standards, documenting procedures, and driving initiatives to improve data integrity and workflow efficiency. Significant attention to detail, proficiency with digital tools, and strong communication skills for remote collaboration are essential.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in data analytics and the ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Proficient in data management processes including collection, cleansing, validation, and upkeep of structured datasets.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as spreadsheets, business intelligence software, or statistical applications to facilitate reporting and strategic decisions.
- Skilled in developing and applying data models for forecasting, trend assessment, and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of databases, query languages like SQL, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to convey technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
- High standards of accuracy, organization, and responsibility when handling confidential or sensitive data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience working remotely or in distributed teams, comfortable using collaboration tools and digital workflows.
