About the Role
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a collaborative team based in Auckland. The core responsibility is to transform intricate data sets into straightforward, actionable narratives that support both external clients and internal teams.
This position fits an analytical expert skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and employing data to drive clear business results. The role is within a culture that values turning data into insights, ongoing education, and continuous professional growth.
Key Duties
- Collaborate with sales and consulting teams to provide accurate customer and geospatial analytics deliverables.
- Conduct data analysis using Python and SQL to uncover trends, patterns, and meaningful business intelligence.
- Facilitate the development of customized reports, dashboards, and visual data representations for informed decision-making.
- Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through compelling data storytelling.
- Contribute to maintaining data integrity, workflows, and base spatial or customer datasets.
Required Skills and Experience
- Two to five years of professional experience as a data analyst with strong skills in Python, SQL, and Excel for analytical scripting and querying.
- Proven communication skills capable of managing stakeholder expectations and simplifying data presentations for non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data visualization tools to design accessible dashboards and reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with enthusiasm for learning and teamwork.
- Familiarity with geospatial data modeling or mapping software such as Esri/ArcGIS is a significant asset but not required.
