Cyber Security Analyst

Position Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a partner organization affiliated with Haystack for the role of Cyber Security Analyst based in the United States. This role involves vigilant monitoring, investigation, and prioritization of cybersecurity incidents across an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and analyze cybersecurity events occurring within the organization's network.
• Evaluate security alerts to detect potential threats, assess their scope, and determine their impact.
• Work collaboratively with diverse teams to report findings and assist in managing incident response procedures.
• Support ongoing security operations and escalation workflows to mitigate risks.
• Identify vulnerabilities and contribute to improving the overall security infrastructure through remediation efforts.
• Perform thorough data analysis on security events, including detailed root cause examinations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a bachelor's degree in a suitable discipline or comparable professional experience.
• At least three years of professional experience in IT or a related field.
• Minimum one year of specialized experience in information security or network engineering.
• Proficient in conveying investigative results clearly to audiences without technical backgrounds.
• Hands-on experience in incident management processes such as containment and remediation is essential.
• Flexible to handle on-call responsibilities and provide after-hours support when necessary.
