Renowned for office design, fit-out, and turnkey solutions, ACS creates inspiring work environments through comprehensive projects encompassing architectural spatial planning, interior design, lighting, furniture, and accessories for office interiors and new builds.
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) derived from architectural, interior, MEP, and furniture drawings with keen detail.
- Conduct precise quantity take-offs across all project disciplines for accurate costing.
- Develop detailed project cost estimates during conceptual, design development, and execution phases.
- Analyze layouts, specifications, and technical drawings to determine project scope and quantity needs.
- Collaborate with Design, Procurement, Projects, and Planning teams to finalize and confirm BOQs.
- Standardize the BOQ formats, descriptions, technical specifications, and measurement techniques used throughout projects.
- Maintain and update a Master BOQ library for use in upcoming projects, enhancing efficiency.
- Verify and reconcile material quantities continually through the execution of projects to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare rate analyses leveraging historical project data alongside current market pricing benchmarks.
- Support procurement processes by providing precisely detailed BOQs for Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and vendor sourcing.
- Track material consumption patterns and propose opportunities for cost-saving through value engineering.
- Create and maintain databases for material specifications, productivity norms, and standard cost rates to assist in project planning.
- Assist project teams with budgeting, cost planning, and validating quantities to ensure financial control.
- Guarantee that all BOQs adhere strictly to project requirements, design intent, and organizational standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in cost estimation practices via standardization and automation initiatives.
