Role Overview

The Corporate BIM Manager will lead and coordinate the company-wide Building Information Modeling (BIM) strategy and standards. This role encompasses the development and enforcement of governance frameworks, digital delivery roadmaps, and BIM-related policies to enhance project performance across diverse multidisciplinary projects locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive BIM strategy, including standards, governance, and digital delivery processes to support the organization's objectives.
  • Serve as the principal BIM authority, providing strategic guidance and liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout multiple projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce BIM Execution Plans (BEP), workflows, processes, and information management standards to ensure contractual compliance and quality deliverables.
  • Lead BIM adoption and governance across large-scale building, infrastructure, and industrial projects both within Singapore and overseas.
  • Implement BIM quality assurance and control frameworks to guarantee conformity with company standards, client needs, and regulatory mandates.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to BIM Managers, Coordinators, Modelers, engineers, and project teams to achieve uniform high-quality outputs.
  • Create and upkeep corporate documentation including BIM standards, modeling guidelines, templates, libraries, workflows, naming conventions, and procedures.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM efforts involving design review, model validation, clash detection/resolution, and overall coordination management.
  • Assist project teams in generating coordinated shop drawings, construction documentation, and digital deliverables using BIM tools.
  • Ensure all BIM activities adhere to Singapore BIM regulations, Building and Construction Authority (BCA) requirements, submission standards, and industry best practices.
  • Drive BIM adoption, digital transformation, automation, and innovation to bolster productivity, collaboration, and delivery efficiency.
  • Assess and deploy new BIM technologies, software, and digital solutions to enhance corporate BIM capabilities.
  • Design and deliver BIM training programs for professionals across disciplines to increase competency and software mastery.
  • Conduct BIM audits, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives to elevate corporate BIM maturity.
  • Provide strategic BIM oversight and support for international projects aligning with corporate policies and objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional certification in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field.
  • At least 10 years of practical experience in BIM implementation, coordination, management, and digital delivery related to building, infrastructure, and industrial projects.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a BIM leadership or management capacity overseeing teams, standards, workflows, and project deliveries.
  • Demonstrated success managing BIM for large-scale, complex, multidisciplinary projects domestically and overseas.
  • In-depth knowledge of Singapore BIM regulations, BCA requirements, and BIM submission guidelines.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and other BIM authoring and collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with Bentley BIM software such as AECOsim, OpenBuildings, OpenRoads, and OpenPlant, including expertise in 6D BIM modeling and data management.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, engineering workflows, contract stipulations, and project delivery methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills alongside stakeholder management, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven leadership aptitude in managing multidisciplinary teams and spearheading BIM transformation projects.
  • Capability to handle multiple complex projects, offer strategic BIM direction, and ensure outcomes align with organizational goals.
