About the Location
The dm logistics center in Wustermark, established in 2020, stands as one of our most advanced sites. More than 350 employees leverage cutting-edge technology to ensure supply for dm stores across northern and eastern Germany. An open, appreciative corporate culture makes this workplace particularly special. The in-house canteen team ensures fresh and balanced meals daily at this location.
Your Role
Join us to make an impact as part of a dedicated team. You will work within a structured rotating shift system from Monday to Friday, typically consisting of three weeks morning shifts, one week evening shifts, and once every quarter, one week night shifts.
Your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring smooth operations in our canteen and supporting the kitchen team in daily meal preparation by organizing workflows and preparing necessary ingredients, all while maintaining oversight even during busy times.
- Independently preparing salads, desserts, and various side dishes with creativity and attention to quality, freshness, and appealing presentation; you will also manage our daily breakfast offerings.
- Providing friendly and service-oriented interaction with employees at meal service, contributing to a positive dining environment.
- Actively participating in menu planning by contributing your ideas and assisting with receiving and properly storing delivered goods.
- Upholding high hygiene and quality standards by maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring consistent compliance with HACCP guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Preferably, you have experience in gastronomy, communal catering, or a comparable field; more importantly, you should be enthusiastic about fresh food, quality meals, and excellent service.
- You hold a valid health certificate or are willing to obtain one promptly.
- You demonstrate an independent and responsible work ethic, reliability, and strong team spirit.
- You have good command of the German language, both spoken and written.
- You enjoy interacting with people, communicate effectively, and foster a respectful working atmosphere.
- You are prepared to work within a regulated rotating shift system including morning, evening, and occasional night shifts.
