Role Overview
This full-time onsite position based in Stuttgart involves preparing and cooking a wide range of dishes adhering to established recipes, brand standards, and stringent food safety regulations. The cook is responsible for organizing their kitchen station, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook various dishes following precise recipes and quality standards.
- Set up and organize the kitchen workspace efficiently before and during shifts.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of food ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment compliant with hygiene guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate service flow and food presentation.
- Manage food portions meticulously to guarantee consistency and guest satisfaction.
- Support inventory management by promptly reporting ingredient shortages or quality issues.
- Contribute to waste minimization initiatives and sustainable kitchen practices.
- Uphold a positive, guest-centric approach to create memorable dining experiences.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in food preparation techniques including fundamental knife skills and accurate recipe execution.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen health regulations with dedication to cleanliness.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing time and priorities calmly during peak periods.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills to work seamlessly with chefs and front-of-house staff.
- Keen attention to detail regarding food presentation, portion control, and maintaining quality consistency.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or professional kitchen setting highly preferred.
- Formal culinary education, apprenticeships, or certifications considered an asset.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays in line with hotel requirements.
