Role Overview
The Contract Engineer position is a full-time, on-premises role based in Singapore. The primary responsibility is to oversee the entire contract lifecycle for offshore oil and gas initiatives, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract terms with clients, vendors, and subcontractors while adhering to company policies and sector standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage preparation and review of contract documents ensuring alignment with industry and company standards.
- Support tendering and bidding procedures with precise contract input and evaluation.
- Coordinate contract activities with project management, technical, and financial teams to mitigate commercial risks and ensure compliance.
- Monitor contract execution, handle variations and claims diligently.
- Maintain comprehensive contract records and generate reports as needed.
- Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and guarantee regulatory and client compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders on contract matters.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven expertise in contract management and administration, particularly involving technical or engineering projects within EPC or the oil and gas sector.
- Thorough understanding of commercial, legal, and risk management aspects related to offshore oil, gas, or energy sectors.
- Skilled in project coordination and document handling with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong focus on contract accuracy and detail.
- Academic credentials in Engineering, Business, Law, or a similarly relevant discipline.
- Capacity to work on-site in Singapore and adeptness at managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards, procurement workflows, and global contract practices is advantageous.
- Prior involvement in offshore oil and gas projects is highly preferred.
