Concession Worker

Position Overview

The Concession Worker is responsible for preparing and serving food items to students and patrons at the school concession. This role includes cashier duties, maintaining cleanliness by clearing tables and washing dishes, and various food service-related tasks.

Education and Qualifications

• High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED) recognized by the Board of Education.
• At least one year of experience running or managing a catering or food service business is required for permanent positions and preferred for casual roles.
• Certification in Safe Food Handling.
• Standard First Aid certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Physical Demands

The job involves some heavy lifting, including occasionally exerting up to 100 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs, and constantly up to 20 lbs to manage students or move objects.

Compensation and Benefits

Remuneration follows the current CUPE Local 5512 Collective Bargaining Agreement, with an hourly wage ranging from $18.34 to $20.77.
