Job Overview

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our expanding Water team in Wellington. This role involves working on hydraulics, pump stations, stormwater runoff, and water management projects. The position offers professional growth opportunities through technical work, client interaction, and project management within water engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing 3-water infrastructure projects focusing on either pipes and pumps or stormwater networks.
  • Managing delivery and construction monitoring for 3-water infrastructure developments.
  • Ensuring technical excellence by utilizing modeling software such as Civil 3D, 12D, InfoWorks, and HEC-HMS to achieve practical and high-quality results.
  • Collaborating with multiple disciplines to develop integrated solutions, including involvement in bids and tenders, as well as delivering thorough advice and documentation.
  • Preparing project deliverables, tender documents, design specifications, and other required documentation to meet client expectations on moderately complex projects.
  • Enhancing technical knowledge while working towards Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years in a similar civil engineering role within consultancy, focusing on water infrastructure.
  • A tertiary degree in Civil, Water, Environmental, or Natural Resources Engineering.
  • Current full New Zealand driver's license, enabling site visits as required.
  • Proven expertise in detailed design of 3-water projects.
  • Experience in site surveillance, supervision, construction management, and quality assurance is highly valued.
  • Strong design capabilities in hydraulics, stormwater runoff, and pump stations.
