Role Overview
This opening is for a Chief Financial Officer based in Gurugram, Haryana. The position is intended for a senior finance leader who can steer financial strategy, governance, compliance, and business growth for a manufacturing environment.
Work Location and Schedule
The role is located at Sector 37, Gurgaon, Haryana, India. It follows a 6-day work week with working hours from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Team and Systems
The finance function includes 20 accounting staff members. The current accounting system is Tally, and the organization is moving toward Microsoft Dynamics.
Eligibility and Experience
The ideal candidate must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 12 to 18 years of experience. Prior exposure to manufacturing operations is required, and candidates with earlier IPO or fundraising experience will be preferred. The role specifies a male candidate preference.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
- Define and drive the company’s financial direction in line with overall business objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team.
- Support business expansion, long-term planning, and growth decisions.
- Assess investments, acquisitions, mergers, and new business opportunities.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles.
- Build financial projections and review business performance against plans.
- Track profitability, key metrics, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements on time.
- Present financial updates to management, board members, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate books and ensure reporting standards are followed.
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and treasury activities.
- Manage banking relationships, financing arrangements, and fund usage.
- Set budgets, review spending, and drive cost-control actions.
- Identify savings opportunities and support margin improvement efforts.
- Evaluate financial and operational risks and strengthen controls.
- Put risk-mitigation measures, policies, and governance practices in place.
- Ensure adherence to direct and indirect tax laws, filings, and planning requirements.
- Coordinate audits, respond to observations, and close corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate governance obligations.
- Manage relationships with investors, lenders, banks, and financial institutions.
- Support fundraising, debt financing, and capital management initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance, accounting, taxation, and audit teams.
- Improve finance processes, controls, policies, and team capability.
Functional and Technical Expectations
The CFO should bring strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash management, treasury, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, internal controls, ERP systems, financial modeling, and MIS reporting. Knowledge of IFRS, Ind AS, and GAAP is also expected.
Additional Requirements
Strong business planning ability, financial management skills, statutory compliance expertise, cash and fund flow management, strategic thinking, effective communication, and leadership capability are essential for success in this role.
Tools and Software
Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics is relevant, along with advanced Excel and business intelligence tools.
