Cargo Agent - DWC

About the Role

As a Cargo Agent based in Dubai, you will manage comprehensive cargo operations including documentation, customer support, cargo acceptance, delivery, breakdown, build-up, equipment use, and transportation to ensure seamless cargo handling.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all customer service and airline specific policies, procedures, and standard operating instructions, ensuring compliance with regulations and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Execute daily operational duties promptly and reliably as assigned.
• Communicate safety concerns transparently to the shift Team Leader.
• Follow all applicable safety, quality, and environmental protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Lead and support the team of loaders and equipment operators in cargo activities such as build-up, breakdown, acceptance, delivery, and documentation of cargo, courier, and mail according to standards.
• Conduct inspections and validations of goods at delivery, acceptance, breakdown, and build-up stages to verify conformity with relevant criteria and compliance with standard procedures.
• Input data accurately into cargo management systems manually or electronically in a timely fashion.
• Liaise efficiently with government bodies including Customs, Municipality, Health, and Police to facilitate smooth cargo, courier, and mail movement.
• Handle and load special cargo types, including dangerous goods, live animals, and valuables, in accordance with IATA regulations.
• Operate cargo handling equipment such as tow trucks and forklifts to move loads.
• Load and unload cargo from ULDs, aircraft, and trucks promptly and safely.

Candidate Profile

• Must possess a High School Certificate (12 years of schooling) or a relevant diploma.
• Have 2-4 years of practical experience in logistics and cargo handling.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IT and computer use.
• Exhibit strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
