Location and Facility

The role is based at Granger House Lifecare in Greymouth on the scenic West Coast, a 70-bed rest home and hospital providing specialist aged care. This locale combines historical charm with stunning natural landscapes including beaches and trails, alongside adventure opportunities such as rafting and caving. The community offers an excellent lifestyle including affordable housing, short commuting distances, and various amenities.

Role Overview

• This position is full-time and onsite at Granger House, with shifts covering mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends as required.
• Applicants should have a heartfelt passion for caregiving, a compassionate and optimistic demeanor, and strong interpersonal abilities.
• The caregiver's main responsibility is to deliver exceptional care with kindness and patience, enhancing the wellbeing and comfort of residents.

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous caregiving experience, preferably within aged care settings.
• A NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or an equivalent New Zealand or international certification such as a Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing is preferred but not mandatory.
• Effective communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and a positive customer service attitude.
• A genuine dedication to assisting others and commitment to continual personal and professional growth.
• Awareness and adherence to health and safety standards.
