Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the Meat Department functions smoothly and efficiently, consistently delivering outstanding quality products and excellent customer service.

Candidate Profile

• Completion of a craft butchery course is preferred.
• Strong numeracy skills are essential.
• Effective communication abilities are required.
• Experience in customer service is advantageous.
• Capability to collaborate within a team in a fast-moving setting, demonstrating multitasking under pressure.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food and the ability to engage and motivate customers.
• Familiarity with HACCP training is a plus but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Embody and promote Centra’s core values: pride, energy, imagination, and a community-focused approach.
• Maintain retail meat cuts to meet high standards aligned with shopper expectations.
• Boost sales by adhering to Standard Operating Procedures and store standards daily.
• Ensure the Meat Department's presentation and merchandising are of the highest quality.
• Accurately implement planograms.
• Oversee stock rotation to preserve product freshness and quality.
• Manage departmental waste and shrinkage effectively.
• Continuously advance the department by staying informed about new products and initiatives.
• Develop product knowledge through diverse sources and contribute suggestions and ideas for improvement.
• Participate actively in new initiatives and adapt to evolving work practices.
