About the Role

The Retail & Hospitality Information Sharing and Analysis Center (RH-ISAC) acts as a trusted network focused on cybersecurity for the retail and hospitality sectors. The community connects security teams at various levels to collaboratively address challenges, share best practices, and benchmark strategies, aiming to enhance security across industries such as retail, restaurants, hotels, gaming, travel, and consumer products.

The Business Intelligence and Data Science Analyst will lead the advancement of RH-ISAC’s analytics capabilities by combining business intelligence, data analysis, and modern data science techniques. This role is responsible for creating scalable reports, actionable insights, and automation to support organizational operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI to support leadership and operational analytics.
  • Automate workflows including data ingestion and transformation to ensure analytics are delivered reliably and efficiently.
  • Enhance self-service analytics via reusable datasets and standardized reporting elements.
  • Provide recurring and on-demand reports and insights focused on organizational priorities such as member participation and engagement metrics.
  • Utilize advanced analytical methods including trend analysis, segmentation, and predictive modeling as appropriate.
  • Incorporate AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve analysis and automation.
  • Create and maintain data transformation procedures using SQL, Power Query, or equivalent technologies, contributing to overall data system improvements.
  • Conduct ongoing data validation and quality assurance to maintain data integrity across systems.
  • Address and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies and architecture.
  • Standardize data definitions and taxonomies to maintain consistent analytics outputs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data analytics, data science, or similar fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or technical analytics roles.
  • Proficiency in Power BI including DAX and Power Query for dashboard and data model development.
  • Strong skills in SQL and handling structured and semi-structured data sources.
  • Experience with data validation, integration, and transformation techniques.
  • Ability to create clear data visualizations and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to data quality and accuracy.
  • Capability to prioritize and deliver quality work under recurring deadlines.
