About the Role
Mimecast is pioneering cybersecurity innovation with a focus on managing human risk. As a key member of our team in London, operating on a hybrid schedule, you'll help drive business expansion by securing new customers and fostering growth. Your contributions matter to our company, customers, communities, and your own professional advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in high-volume outreach campaigns via cold calls, emails, and social media to generate and qualify prospective leads.
- Evaluate marketing-generated leads to determine their compatibility with Mimecast's offerings.
- Collaborate with reseller partners to identify combined opportunities and widen market reach.
- Analyze target accounts by researching decision-makers and comprehending their challenges to tailor communications effectively.
- Conduct initial needs assessments with prospects to understand their requirements and determine alignment with solutions.
- Present Mimecast’s value proposition compellingly to arrange product meetings and transfer qualified leads to Account Executives.
- Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline of qualified leads while ensuring all activities are properly recorded within the CRM system.
- Schedule meetings with appropriate sales representatives to advance sales opportunities.
- Stay updated with industry trends, customer demands, and product updates to continually enhance outreach methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Channel Partners to synchronize strategic efforts and ensure smooth lead transitions.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to confidently engage prospects and tailor messaging for diverse audiences.

- Familiarity with technology tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms, and sales automation solutions is advantageous.
- Organized, with strong attention to detail and effective time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical with the ability to perform comprehensive needs analyses and qualify sales opportunities accurately.
- Commitment to continuous learning about products, industry trends, and customer feedback to refine sales techniques.
- Team-oriented, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Channel Partners.

Compensation
The on-target earnings (OTE) for this role range between £40,000 and £66,000 annually, complemented by additional benefits and potential incentive plans. Compensation is influenced by qualifications, experience, role level, and location.
