About the Role
McCann FitzGerald LLP is a team of dedicated professionals combining world-class legal expertise with a collaborative approach to empower clients. They seek to recruit a Business Analyst within their IT department to support growth and innovation. This role involves partnering with legal teams, business services, and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into efficient solutions that enhance service delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to convert business demands into technology solutions aligned with firm objectives.
- Engage across legal and business services to comprehend challenges, goals, and requirements.
- Create detailed business requirements documents, functional specifications, and business cases.
- Evaluate existing processes and identify improvements for automation, efficiency, and optimization.
- Lead process mapping, redesign, and recommend continuous improvements across operations.
- Champion modernization of legacy systems through cloud and SaaS implementations.
- Support project delivery from initiation to implementation, coordinating with IT teams, vendors, and end-users.
- Participate in system testing, user acceptance, and solution validations including change management and user adoption efforts.
- Explore automation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics opportunities within legal workflows.
- Assess emerging technologies relevant to legal and professional services sectors.
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends and support decision-making with reports and dashboards.
- Maintain strong relationships with legal, partners, and business services, acting as a trusted advisor and managing expectations.
- Implement architecture governance and ensure compliance with legal regulations and firm policies.
- Contribute to risk assessments, project governance, and documentation standards.
- Provide design and oversight for major projects, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and integration across systems like document management, billing, and CRM.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' experience in business analysis roles.
- Proven ability in requirements gathering, documentation, and process analysis.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Experience with process improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite including Excel, Power BI, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior leadership.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic professional services setting.
- Desirable: Familiarity with legal technology platforms such as iManage and Aderant.
- Desirable: Business Analysis certifications like IIBA or BCS.
