Business Analyst III

About the Role

Our client, a prominent financial institution with extensive operations across North America—including areas such as institutional and corporate banking, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking—is seeking a Business Analyst III to support their team in Toronto.

Contract Details

This is an 8-month contract position based in Toronto, ON, with a potential extension or conversion. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during core business hours, and the role follows a hybrid onsite/remote model. Compensation starts at $50 per hour.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support daily activities related to CMPIRD within Toronto business hours.
• Assist with global CCP portfolio compression processing and related reporting.
• Support reconciliation, validation, and payment processes for Interest Rate Derivative brokerage and fees.
• Investigate and resolve trade-level cash discrepancies and breaks.
• Perform bulk lifecycle actions on an ad hoc basis and assist with corporate action postings.
• Respond to inquiries concerning risk, profit & loss, and funding differences.
• Collaborate closely with global FIMO teams to maintain post-trade lifecycle operations.
• Help update procedural documentation and support control and audit requirements.
• Engage in initiatives aimed at process improvements and changes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of five years experience as a business analyst.
• Background in middle office operations.
• Experience with fixed income products.
• Strong product knowledge.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VBA and formula use.
• Experience with compression processes.
• Familiarity with AI assistance tools.
