About the Company and Role
Peregrine Advisors is a Benefit Corporation dedicated to driving innovation in data and technology within the federal government. We believe that effective solutions come from those closest to the problems, empowered with ownership and tools to deliver results. Our mission focuses on supporting government clients and serving the U.S. public through meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate current fee verification, invoicing, refunds, and exception processing workflows from federal agency finance staff into detailed requirements and business rules for a modern fee-management platform using LogicNets.
- Map existing manual processes and outline the transformation path to target system workflows.
- Document clear requirements and business logic to be implemented by the build team.
- Over time, contribute to establishing new capabilities, tools, and business lines within the firm.
Candidate Profile
You excel at converting complex, manual tasks into precise, documented rules. Comfortable liaising between finance personnel and engineers, you ensure clear communication and mutual understanding. You embrace experimentation, learn quickly from failures, and take ownership of outcomes rather than just tasks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Practical experience in requirements gathering and process mapping to formalize manual financial processes.
- Expertise in federal financial management, including familiarity with the U.S. Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and budget execution methodologies.
- User acceptance testing (UAT) experience within a regulated environment prioritizing accuracy and audit readiness.
- Sound judgment to perform in environments where accuracy and compliance are critical.
Eligibility and Location Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Position requires regular commuting to the Washington, DC metropolitan area; this is a hybrid onsite role.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer comprehensive, fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions and immediate vesting, unlimited paid time off, plus sponsored professional certification opportunities.
Our Commitment
As a Benefit Corporation, we prioritize delivering measurable value to clients, improving government operations, and fostering a team environment that encourages personal and professional growth. We seek individuals committed to building the firm alongside us, not just filling a role.
