Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dependable driver to operate a 34-seater bus safely and efficiently. The right candidate will hold a valid heavy vehicle licence, maintain a spotless driving history, and consistently prioritize passenger safety and timely service.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a 34-seater bus in line with traffic regulations and company guidelines.
- Move passengers to assigned destinations safely and according to schedule.
- Carry out routine checks before and after each trip to ensure the vehicle is fit for service.
- Keep the bus clean, safe for road use, and properly maintained.
- Immediately report breakdowns, accidents, or any maintenance concerns.
- Maintain trip documentation, mileage details, and fuel usage records as needed.
- Look after passenger safety and comfort throughout every journey.
- Stick to planned routes and timings while responding appropriately to traffic and road conditions.
- Observe all applicable health, safety, and transport rules.
Requirements
- Valid heavy vehicle driving licence for bus/passenger transport.
- At least 3 to 5 years of bus driving experience, ideally with vehicles carrying 30 passengers or more.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic offences.
- Good understanding of road rules and defensive driving methods.
- Working knowledge of vehicle checks and basic preventive maintenance.
- Ability to communicate clearly with passengers and supervisors.
- Physically fit and available for rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with staff transport, school transport, or company bus operations.
- Basic first aid knowledge will be considered an added advantage.
- Comfort with GPS navigation and route planning tools.
