Branch Head - Freight Forwarding

Role Overview

We are searching for an energetic and skilled Branch Head to lead our freight forwarding operations in Kenya. This position entails overseeing the Kenya branch’s overall activities, spearheading business expansion, and acting as the company's representative within the local logistics industry. The candidate must bring extensive knowledge of the freight forwarding sector and possess well-established relationships throughout the Kenyan freight and logistics community.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, manage, and grow the Kenya branch operations.
• Identify and develop new business avenues to increase the company's footprint in the Kenyan market.
• Represent the company in dealings with clients, freight forwarders, agents, and other industry stakeholders.
• Forge and sustain robust partnerships with logistics entities within Kenya.
• Ensure adherence to local regulations and maintain company standards.
• Lead operational efforts to maximize profitability and efficiency.
• Provide regular reports to the Head Office detailing branch performance and market trends.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with proven leadership roles.
• A solid network within the freight forwarding and logistics sectors in Kenya.
• History of successful business development and branch growth achievements.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
• Competence in working autonomously and representing the organization locally.
• Familiarity with import-export procedures, required documentation, and compliance standards.
