Bidding and Tendering Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated specialist to spearhead initiatives aimed at establishing and nurturing partnerships to expand business opportunities specifically within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong communication abilities, critical thinking skills, and a proven track record in executing targeted strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end tendering procedures including preparation, review, and submission of bids for oil and gas contracts.
• Oversee contract and procurement operations by handling contract documentation, engaging with vendors, and managing procurement workflows.
• Develop precise cost estimations and project budgets leveraging engineering data and inputs.
• Identify, source, and assess new contracting opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
• Utilize engineering insight to assist with project planning, execution, and cost management.
• Negotiate and maintain communication channels with clients, vendors, and internal teams to secure and administer contracts.
• Keep systematic records of tenders, contracts, and related procurement activities.
• Operate on industry-specific platforms such as NipeX, Ariba, and NOGIC JQS for vendor registration, bidding processes, and compliance verification.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Between four to five years of relevant business development experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategizing and successfully implementing business development plans.
• Highly focused and goal-driven mindset.
