As this is the inaugural location, A Cafe is eager to onboard driven professionals who wish to grow alongside the business and help set the benchmark for future branches.

Position Overview

The role calls for an experienced and enthusiastic Barista who is passionate about coffee culture, delivering outstanding customer service, and upholding rigorous operational standards. This individual will be instrumental in consistently preparing superior beverages while fostering a warm and inviting atmosphere for customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Craft espresso-based drinks maintaining consistent quality.
• Execute expert milk texturing and implement basic latte art techniques.
• Adjust espresso grind settings periodically throughout service hours.
• Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of coffee machinery.
• Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Provide professional and efficient service to all customers.
• Assist as needed in food preparation tasks.
• Track inventory levels, promptly report stock shortages.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the workspace.
• Participate in opening and closing routines.
• Engage in ongoing efforts to enhance café operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Immediate availability to start work.
• Residency in Abu Dhabi.
• Prior barista experience.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Professional appearance paired with a positive demeanor.
• Strong focus on customer service excellence.
• Capability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to maintain composure and efficiency under pressure.
• Dependable, punctual, and well-organized.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification from the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) or a similar institution.
• Completion of advanced barista training programs.
• Food safety certification such as EFST.
• Experience with specialty coffee and commercial espresso machinery.
• Proficiency in basic latte art.
