Bakery Associate

Position Overview

Joining Walmart Canada as a Bakery Associate offers a chance to enhance your retail and customer service abilities. In this role, you will deliver excellent customer interactions in line with Walmart's core values, manage the bakery section's organization, assist with product stocking, and support sales initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the quality and visual appeal of bakery items including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Keep the bakery department fully stocked and prepared for daily operations.
• Ensure all products are correctly labeled with pricing and signage.
• Comply with protocols related to cold chain management, temperature checks, food safety, product rotation, and expiration date monitoring.
• Adhere to sanitation and food handling guidelines to uphold cleanliness and safety.
• Follow correct procedures for product ordering, clearances, markups and markdowns, labeling, and pricing adjustments.
• Prepare baked goods by properly following thawing and baking instructions to maintain product quality and appearance.
• Secure all bakery displays safely and appropriately.

Additional Information

The starting hourly wage for this position is $15.80 CAD.
