Role Overview

We are seeking Credentialed Background Investigators certified under the National Training Standard (NTS) to serve in the South Texas Valley area, including Harlingen, McAllen, and Brownsville. This role involves performing detailed interviews with subjects and their associates as well as reviewing records to gather comprehensive information. Investigators are expected to resolve material issues or establish characteristics such as background, reputation, or qualifications of the subject under examination. Reports must be detailed and submitted within defined deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough interviews with subjects, employers, references, and others knowledgeable about the case.
• Examine and analyze relevant records to verify facts and resolve investigative issues.
• Document findings comprehensively and submit investigation reports accurately and punctually.
• Travel locally as required to conduct investigations, using a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; public transportation may be used where feasible.

Qualifications

• Committed to national security mission and maintaining integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain focus during prolonged periods of walking, typing, sitting, or standing.
• Strong time management with exceptional oral and written communication skills, including detailed report writing.
• Experience in conducting background investigations preferred.
• University degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience, coupled with at least three years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated achievement in quality, timeliness, and productivity metrics.
• Must qualify for and maintain a favorable adjudication of Top-Secret clearance based on a T5 or Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required.

Security Clearance

Applicants must possess or be able to obtain a Top-Secret clearance adjudicated through a T5 or SSBI process.
