Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, professional, and courteous service to all guests and colleagues.
• Perform routine maintenance and regular checks on AV equipment and other related building systems.
• Maintain and store audiovisual equipment in the banqueting halls properly to ensure readiness for use at all times.
• Inspect facilities and AV equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Set up AV systems ahead of scheduled events and dismantle them post-event, ensuring equipment remains operational and organized.
• Monitor background music systems (BGM) for proper functionality and perform preventive maintenance per schedule.
• Coordinate repair, maintenance, and installation of various machines, tools, and equipment to support seamless operations and satisfaction of guests and owners.
• Complete all planned preventative maintenance tasks in alignment with maintenance schedules.
• Manage procurement of AV-related materials and ensure timely follow-up.
• Organize engineering-related work areas for efficiency and safety.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards consistently.
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including logging use of Master cards, keys, ladders, vacuum machines, and other equipment.
• Identify and report any upgrade requirements for AV systems, tools, and equipment.
• Respond promptly to meetings, event requests, and banquet assistance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT for resolving any AV system software or network issues.
• Manage and respond swiftly to emergency situations such as fire, water leakage, and gas alarms.
• Report any electrical malfunctions immediately to the Shift Engineer on duty.
• Assist with electrical and general maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, and wiring when needed.
• Ensure all work areas including electrical and AV control rooms are maintained clean and orderly.
• Contribute to energy conservation monitoring and initiatives.
• Track and follow up on pending maintenance tasks daily.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience working as an AV Technician is advantageous.
• Highly responsible, dependable, and reliable work ethic.
• Previous hands-on experience in painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, or related fields is valuable.
• Capable of working well both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Enthusiastic and attentive to detail with strong listening skills.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); proficiency in a second language is a plus.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
