Role Overview
We seek an Associate Vice President of Brand to spearhead and refine Geotab’s global brand strategy, positioning framework, and visual identity across all markets and sub-brands. This role involves leading internal creative teams and managing external agencies to deliver exceptional, cohesive campaigns, content, and design aligned with business goals.
You will develop brand standards and governance models applicable to all Go-To-Market channels, monitor cultural and market shifts to evolve the brand, and oversee budget management with ROI metrics linking brand equity to business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and direct Geotab’s global brand strategy, positioning, voice, and visual identity globally.
- Manage internal creative studio and external agencies to produce world-class marketing campaigns and content that align with brand and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Communications, Regional leaders, Revenue Generation, and Product Marketing teams to tailor brand and sub-brand initiatives for specific markets and segments.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary creative team, ensuring a culture of excellence and psychological safety; oversee performance and professional development of 3 direct reports and their teams.
- Analyze cultural trends, market shifts, and competition to maintain Geotab’s status as a leader in telematics and fleet management sectors.
- Oversee the brand budget, establishing measurable ROI metrics connecting brand strength to long-term value and demand outcomes.
- Establish and maintain brand standards and governance frameworks to ensure message and experience consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in translating business goals into a distinctive, sustainable brand strategy that drives market positioning and leadership.
- Proven success in leading creative teams and managing agency partnerships, maintaining high creative standards and consistent brand delivery.
- Ability to utilize data and market insights to guide brand decisions and evaluate investment impact.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and influence without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills, capable of presenting and defending brand strategies to senior executives and external stakeholders.
- Experienced in coaching and developing diverse teams, fostering high-performance and psychologically safe environments.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets with focus on measurable results and long-range brand equity.
