About the Opportunity
We are collaborating with a top-tier North American financial institution to recruit an Associate with one to two years of experience for its Power & Renewables Credit division in New York City. This role provides a chance to join a respected, well-established team known for leading energy transition finance initiatives and to engage with a diverse portfolio of intricate transactions in the power and renewable energy arena. The team excels in crafting financing solutions for renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including large-scale solar, wind (onshore and offshore), battery storage, transmission infrastructure, and other power-related ventures. It offers substantial exposure to transactions, close collaboration with senior leaders and clients, and a valuable foundation for career advancement.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in underwriting and executing financings related to power and renewable energy projects throughout all transaction stages.
- Develop and analyze financial models, perform credit assessments, and appraise sophisticated funding opportunities.
- Contribute to structuring and closing project financings, acquisition and refinancing deals, as well as corporate loans.
- Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums and presentation materials for senior leadership and credit committees.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, power and renewables lending, leveraged finance, or credit investment.
- Proven expertise in financial modeling, credit evaluation, and deal execution.
- A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Must be located in New York or open to relocation.
