Associate - Emerging Markets Currencies e-FX Trading

Role Overview

This position is based on a dynamic and fast-paced trading floor, focusing on servicing institutional and corporate clients by managing the electronic FX trading platform. The Associate will actively manage risk, liquidity, and exposure, contributing to all trading desk activities including pre-trade analysis, trade execution, and designing optimal risk management approaches for significant trades. The role involves continuous monitoring of supply and demand and market trends to provide innovative solutions for clients while collaborating internally to introduce new products. The primary focus is on fixed income and foreign exchange markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the electronic franchise involving FX, NDFs, and STIRT including pricing, risk oversight, and data evaluation;
• Address daily queries and needs from clients;
• Analyze market dynamics and drivers, including cross-asset effects;
• Conduct data analytics related to business performance and revenue drivers;
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of market drivers and provide expert guidance to clients regarding trade execution;
• Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements for risk management in trading activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related disciplines;
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, KDB, Java, or C++;
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in FX or Emerging Markets FX within a trading floor setting;
• Strong understanding of various risk types and expertise in effective risk management strategies;
• Deep insight into market drivers and the ability to predict market movements;
• Ability to perform under competitive pressures while prioritizing client requirements;
• Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and documentation capabilities tailored to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in electronic trading of FX, NDF, and STIRT;
• Demonstrable proficiency in Python programming;
• Capability to analyze data efficiently and present findings clearly;
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
