Role Overview

The Associate - Category & Program Marketing will be responsible for managing comprehensive marketing initiatives across major categories. This role involves end-to-end management from brand launch planning through implementation to continual campaign performance oversight. Acting as a critical integrative link, the position connects product, growth, creative, and brand teams to inject strategic clarity, accountability, and structured execution into all endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete category marketing program calendar including brand launches, seasonal campaigns, and current activations from briefing to delivery.
  • Create and maintain project trackers; lead weekly cross-functional meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for joint initiatives, clarifying accountability across creative, technology, brand, and growth teams.
  • Conduct post-launch reviews to capture insights and enhance future programs.
  • Lead go-to-market strategies for new brands and categories, defining objectives, timelines, channels, and success criteria.
  • Coordinate cross-team pre-launch, launch, and post-launch efforts involving internal departments and external brand partners to ensure timely, on-brief execution.
  • Produce GTM briefs and scalable launch frameworks for repeatable category application.
  • Oversee brand onboarding processes including exclusive launch alignments and co-marketing activities.
  • Plan and run integrated marketing campaigns aimed at hitting category KPIs such as GMV, average order value, and conversion rates.
  • Identify growth possibilities via customer insights, competitor benchmarking, and market trend evaluations.
  • Manage full-cycle traffic delivery from organic and paid sources, addressing merchandising, launch, and operational challenges.
  • Partner with Analytics for root cause analysis of category session data and convert insights into actionable plans.
  • Collaborate with performance marketing on paid media campaigns across Google, Meta, and Instagram.
  • Work alongside growth and storefront teams to ensure campaign and brand priorities are aligned in on-app merchandising and third-party campaigns.
  • Execute monthly topical activations and manage social media marketing in partnership with social teams.
  • Identify, manage, and oversee influencer and creator partnerships supporting category priorities.
  • Serve as lead contact across category, creative, monetization, central store, and external brand teams for campaigns and launches.
  • Communicate progress, performance metrics, and risks effectively to leadership.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with internal teams and external vendors for seamless execution.
  • Utilize Excel and BI tools to monitor campaign performance, ROI, and produce regular performance reports.
  • Design segmentation-based retention campaigns and tailor personalized customer journeys.
  • Interpret performance data to guide GTM strategies and inform future planning.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA is advantageous.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, retail, or integrated marketing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced features like pivot tables and VLOOKUP; familiarity with BI dashboards preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities to interact effectively across organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of Google Trends, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools is a plus.
