Job Location
Available positions at various locations including Sholinganallur, Madhavaram, Mylapore, Arakonam, among others.
Position Summary
The Assistant Store Manager (Duty Manager) holds responsibility for overseeing daily store operations, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and managing staff during assigned shifts. Candidates with supermarket or grocery experience are preferred. However, individuals from apparel, fashion, quick service restaurants (QSR), or lifestyle sectors with strong leadership and customer service skills are also encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage smooth daily store operations during shift periods.
- Oversee floor activities, staff allocation, and deliver superior customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock availability, and manage shrinkage controls.
- Supervise billing counters ensuring accuracy of transactions.
- Address customer escalations to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Ensure store hygiene, safety protocols, and compliance with standards.
- Assist the Store Manager to drive sales and meet performance targets.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and motivation to store associates.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in store operations management and team supervision.
- Good understanding of merchandising, inventory control, and effective customer engagement.
- Basic formal education is acceptable.
