Role Overview
We are seeking an Area Supervisor who can efficiently manage multiple sites in the New England region, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and team development. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee Leading Hands and the Yard Coordinator while maintaining excellent client relations and delivering consistent results.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise and allocate labour and transport resources across several sites to guarantee timely completion of work.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, confirming job requirements, managing expectations, and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct site inspections and prepare Scopes of Work and variations to ensure accurate job quoting, planning, and execution.
- Mentor and develop Leading Hands to strengthen leadership capabilities and identify successors for critical positions.
- Maintain rigorous safety and compliance standards throughout all scaffolding operations.
- Improve productivity through effective sequencing, logistics management, and proactive leadership.
- Identify and resolve onsite problems quickly to avoid delays.
Essential Requirements
- A valid Driver's Licence.
- Construction Induction (White Card).
- Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple sites and teams.
- Demonstrated experience in developing frontline leaders.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Current Advanced Scaffolding High Risk Work Licence and experience with commercial projects.
- Strong client relationship and team management skills, including handling difficult conversations professionally.
- Commercial awareness linking productivity with profitability.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, make decisive actions, and take accountability.
- Clear and structured communication, even under high work demands.
